世界中の熱帯から亜熱帯広く分布する。日本では本州から琉球列島で得られている。様々な植物に見られるが、本州では特にアオキの葉で普通に見られる。前胸背板の後角に２対の長刺毛を持つ。

This species is widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical regions of the world. In Japan, it is known from Honshu to the Ryukyu Islands. It occurs on many kinds of plants, especially on the leaves of Aucuba japonica in Honshu. It has the pronotum with five pairs of posteromarginal setae, S3 and S5 developed.
