世界中の熱帯～亜熱帯広く分布する。日本では本州～沖縄で得られている。様々な植物に見られるが、本州では特にアオキの葉で普通に見られる。前胸背板の後角に２対の長刺毛を持つ。

This species is widely distributed into the tropical subtropical areas of the world. In Japan, it known from Honshu to Okinawa. It occurs on many kinds of the plant, especially leaves of Aucuba japonica in Honshu. It has the pronotum with 5 pairs of posteroangular setae, S3 and S5 developed.
